Incredible Day for RGC Sports in Inaugural Newfoundland Event

The Inaugural NASCAR Pinty’s Series event at Eastbound Speedway in Avondale, NL, had to be rescheduled from a Saturday evening race to a Sunday morning start due to rain on Saturday, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the fans at the sold-out event. RGC Sports had the perfect start to the day with Brandon Watson starting in Pole Position and Treyten Lapcevich alongside in second. Watson had an early mechanical setback that moved him to the rear of the field, but he put on a show for the fans by driving all the through the field to finish fourth. Lapcevich battled hard with eventual race winner Marc-Antoine Camirand and almost made the pass for the lead in the outside lane twice late in the race, but brought the car home in a hard-fought second place. Gary Klutt had another incredible run battling for position at the front of the pack all day, and brought it home in fifth place to put three RGC Sports cars in the top 5. Mark Dilley and TJ Rinomato both had a strong and consistent race, with Dilley bringing home a tenth place finish and Rinomato in thirteenth running on the lead lap.

The sold-out crowd and incredible finishes for all five drivers made it a great event for RGC Sports. The haulers now begin the long journey back home as the teams get ready for the next event which is a highlight of the schedule, the Honda Indy Toronto on Friday July 15.
