Mixed Results For RGC Sports At The Leland Twin 125’s in Saskatoon

Sutherland Automotive Speedway in Saskatoon was home to the seventh stop in the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship, and featured Leland Twin 125 lap feature races.

The first Leland 125 race of the night saw Treyten Lapcevich take Pole Position, and bring the car home with a solid fifth place finish. Mark Dilley had to visit the pits on more than one occasion to deal with a handling issue, and came home in twelfth place. Gary Klutt and Brandon Watson were both fast and running up front, but both got caught up in on-track incidents to ultimately finish fourteenth and sixteenth respectively. Unfortunately for TJ Rinomato, he was forced to make contact with the wall by another driver, and his car was too badly damaged to continue for the balance of the event. He finished twenty third.

In the second Leland 125 Brandon Watson had a strong run despite being caught up in an early incident and came home with a fifth place finish. Mark Dilley made it two top tens for RGC Sports with a solid run to ninth place despite battling a loose car due to contact made by another driver. Treyten Lapcevich was running with the lead group all race long until a battery issue caused a lengthy pit stop, and he finished seventeenth. Gary Klutt unfortunately experienced mechanical issues, and a rear gear failure ultimately ended his race early and resulted in a twenty first place finish.

The RGC Sports haulers will head back East and get ready to load the road course cars in preparation for the iconic Grand Prix du Trois-Rivieres on August 5 to 7. Check out the reactions from the RGC Sports drivers below.
