Top Five For RGC Sports On The Streets Of Toronto

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series returned to the streets of Toronto for the first time since 2019 on Friday, and fans welcomed the return of the event by showing up in droves to fill the iconic event site. The RGC Sports team got off to a solid start to the day in the combined practice/qualifying session, with Gary Klutt leading the way by qualifying seventh. When the green flag dropped all five RGC Sports drivers began making moves and moving forward. Mark Dilley was competing for a top ten finish all race when he was caught up in a late incident in corner three that ended his day, finishing twenty first. TJ Rinomato had a consistent run and gained position during the race to finish eighteenth. Brandon Watson had to start from the back of the field following an engine change, and despite struggling with a mechanical issue brought the car home in sixteenth. Treyten Lapcevich enjoyed success in his first experience on the technical street course, picking up three positions during the race to finish tenth. Gary Klutt led the way for RGC Sports by running in the lead pack all race long, and eventually finishing fourth.

Two top ten’s and a top five is a great result at this iconic Canadian race event, and keeps multiple RGC Sports drivers in contention for the 2022 Championship. For the next leg of the tour the team heads West for events at Edmonton International Raceway for the Bayer 300 on July 23rd, and then to Sutherland Automotive Raceway in Saskatoon for Twin 150 lap races on July 27.
