Two Top Tens For RGC Sports in Trois-Rivieres

The Historic Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres was a sold-out event with fans packing the grandstands despite the incredible heat. Saturday saw the practice and qualifying sessions run in preparation for Sunday’s main event. RGC Sports had two drivers qualify in the top ten with Treyten Lapcevich 8th and Gary Klutt 9th. Brandon Watson started in 14th while Mark Dilley and TJ Rinomato started in 22nd and 24th respectively.

After a one-hour delay for lightning in the area, the race got under way and there was no shortage of action throughout the field in the exciting competition. Treyten Lapcevich a had strong consistent run and brought his car home in 5th. TJ Rinomato had an amazing performance and career-best road course finish in 10th place to complete the pair of top-10’s for RGC Sports. Gary Klutt was one of the fastest cars on the track all day, running in 3rd for most of the race until he was forced into the wall in a late restart. After a stop in the pits for service he brought the car home 11th. Brandon Watson and Mark Dilley both battled brake issues throughout the race. Brandon came home in 12th and Mark had to retire his car early for a 17th place finish.

The haulers now head back to Ontario where they will get loaded up with cars set up for the first-ever NASCAR Pinty’s Series dirt track race at Ohsweken Speedway on August 16th. Check out the reactions of the RGC Sports drivers in the video links below.
